1862 C.S. Richmond Musket .58, 40” Forged Steel Barrel
Manufactured by the Richmond Armory from 1861 to 1865, the C.S. Richmond Musket, noted for its accuracy, was produced in larger numbers than all other Confederate long arms manufactured during the Civil War. Features a one-piece barrel of forged steel with “VP” and an eagle head stamped to the left of the breech. Markings on the lock are “1862” to the left of the hammer and “C.S. RICHMOND, VA” to the right of the hammer. The one-piece stock is oil-finished walnut. Features a brass nose cap. NSSA approved.
